Sportradar Signs Deal with Taiwan Sports Lottery

Sportradar signed a long-term deal to provide technology and services to the Taiwan Sports Lottery. The contract is valid from 2024 to 2033. Also, Sportradar will be part of a more extensive consortium in Taiwan as part of the deal.

In December 2022, Taiwan’s Sports Administration granted the third Sports Lottery License to the consortium. Along with China Trust Bank and Taiwan Sports Lottery Company, ADATA Technology holds the license.

Over 2,600 retail locations in Taiwan will be equipped with Sportradar’s Orako end-to-end sportsbook and player account management system. The omnichannel strategy includes rolling out Orako across digital and mobile platforms.

The broader arrangement includes the shipping of necessary tools to all retail outlets. This comprises digital multimedia displays offering real-time sports and betting information, specialized lottery terminals, and printers. However, online sports betting is not part of the plan.

According to gambling and sports news reports, Sportradar has set up a branch office in Taipei to offer local support.

Ted Lin, head of the Taiwan Sports Lottery Company, remarked, “Our goal is to reinvent the sports betting experience. Sportradar provides us with a wide variety of technology tools to do just that.”

The Taiwan Sports Lottery Company is looking forward to working with Sportradar. According to a sports forum, their goal is to improve the sports betting market in Taiwan. Also, they want to leverage Sportradar’s track record of working with reputable lottery providers worldwide.
