PokerStars North American Poker Tour
According to poker news reports, the first North American Poker Tour was held in 2010, with the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure operating as the inaugural event. From 1,529 players, Card Player publisher Barry Shulman finished in third place, while ultimate winner Harrison Gimbel took home almost $2.2 million. Jason Mercier, Tom Marchese, Vanessa Selbst, and Galen Hall are other winners of note on this tour, with Selbst being the only player to win the main event twice.
The closure of PokerStars’ US operations in the aftermath of Poker’s Black Friday forced the tour to suspend operations midway through its second season. There were seven events in the first season and three in the second before the program was canceled. The NAPT’s website is an excellent resource for learning more about the event and online casino poker strategies. In the following months, we anticipate announcing additional stops.
In the days and weeks ahead, PokerStars will organize several other major live event stops in different locations worldwide. Starting on October 11 and running through the 22nd, Cyprus will host the 2023 European Poker Tour festival. A few days later, on October 24-29, the UK and Ireland Poker Tour resumes in Edinburgh.
